Christmas in Huntington Beach

Dear Family and Friends,

This Christmas season is a great season. My favorite time of year is this time of year when hearts are turning towards our Savior. The Savoir is that is always there for us. I know that he is mindful of us and that he cares. He loves us all.

We saw our investigator Caeden again this week. He is amazing! He has definitely being prepared by the Lord. I have been able to truly see the Lord's hand in the work. He loves us an he is mindful of us. This week has been quite amazing.

We had a member Brother Bolen call us this week and invite us other to his friend's house for pizza that he was bringing over. The members are beginning to trust more in the ward. It is miracluous!!!  Each day that I have to serve the Lord my testimony grows. He is the light and the life of the world. He is amazing. He knows us he loves us and we will be there for us. I love you all and Hope that you have a very Merry Christmas.

I know that God is mindful of us all! He loves us and he will help through the trails that we have. We must rely on him to help us through! He love us so much! We must be willing to turn our lives to him. He will be our guide as we do through life/.

Miracles and Christmas Stories

Dear Family and Friends,

This week was amazing!! We taught our Recent Convert Ken. We also saw Brianna and Sophie two really cute girls who we had tried to meet before when we first got into the area. But we were unable to meet with them. But due to life and twists and turns that life sometimes throws at us all, we were unable to meet with them. We talked to the about the Priesthood and also the Restoration.
The work is beginning to move forward in the Ward. We are striving to help the member to also do missionary work.

This Sunday I heard some very beautiful Christmas stories. Yesterday while I was listening to this story it brought tears to my eyes. It's called a Big sister's love. Amy and Parker had entered into a contest at a local grocery store. The winners of the contest got to win a bike. There was two different winners because there were two different sizes of bikes. The Children who entered into the contest read books and had their parents and teachers sign off the books there read each week. Parker  want to win one of the bikes so that he could have a bike to ride with his sister Amy.Parker read Green eggs and ham, etc. He read and read. Amy however was not too excited about the contest and rode her bike instead of reading. She saw however after looking at the contest and seeing her little brother try really hard to read as many books as he could, but not matter how many books Parker read there was still someone in his age group reading more books than him. So Amy decided that she would do what the  little brother could not. She would read books for him so that she would win the bike for him. So with her library card in hand she went to work, she read when she wanted to ride her bike, she read when she wanted to play with friends. When the time came for the children to turn in the books they have read. Amy and her mom went to the Grocery store. Amy turned in the books she had read and she was looking at the a little red bike that was to small for her. The owner of the grocery store commented "I assure that you will be wanting the bigger bike won't you." Amy answered "No, I want the little bike so that I can give it to my little brother who could not win the bike on his own." Amy and her mom went home a waited for the numbers to be counted. Then the phone call came Amy had won the contest by reading 280 books. They picked up the bike and stored it in Amy Grandparents house til the time came for them to give the give to Parker. When Christmas came Amys mother started out by reading the Christmas story from the Book of Mormon. Then she told the story of a "Big Sister's Love" and Amy then brought the bike out for her little brother. Parker was very excited. This story is one that I believe shows us Christlike love. I have also seen amazing example of Christlike love in my own live. I have felt it from many our my Young Women leaders who taught me to always remember who I am. My "goodly" parents who taught me the Gospel and how to live. My siblings who showed me the example to follow. And all of my friends who taught me what true friendship is.

This week we also went on exchanges where I got to by with Sister Webb, my MTC Companion in Seapoint. I was able to see how the Lord help us. We had fun talking about experiences who have had. We were able to learn from each other as well. I saw her example and realized that I need to be better at asking everyone for referrals. We learn and grow everyday.
I love you all and hope that you have a great week.

God is REAL!!! HE LIVES!!

Dear Family and Friends,

We saw many tender Mercies of the Lord this week. This week has been amazing. My companion and I have learned  so much this week. We had a point this week where we were unable to see the Spirit as strongly as we could have. We talked to our District leader about it. He offered to give a us a blessing. We gladly excepted. When we got to the church where we would be getting the blessings, the Elders had to call someone to see if they could come and help, because we needed one more person (Three of a kind). They left to go and pick up a member in their area, when two other elders came on their bikes. The only way to explain this coincidence is that the Lord was there. The blessings we received were major testimony building for me! It helped to to see that God is mindful of us all! It also helped me to see that his plan is not our plan but that his plan is perfect.
GOD IS REAL!!! HE IS NOT DEAD!!!! GOD knows us and loves us.  The Priesthood is real.
This week we also had a very  amazing lesson with Caeden. We not sure what to teach honestly. When we started the day, but I studied Preach my Gospel Chapter 6 and my companion studied You can do it Now! a talk by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf and we ended up teaching a lesson about Godly sorrow!

I have truly come to realize this week that God knows us! He loves us and he will help us accomplish what he has asked us of us. I know that God loves each and every one of his children. He will bless us. He reach will find us all!! We must open our hearts and our minds to the things he desires us to know.  Don't Give up Hope if answers have not come yet. Answers will come to us. God will bless us and he will be there for us.

We also got to go and see what is called a Christmas Creche Festival. There were many different Creches from around the World. I love Christmas Time. Love you all and hope that you have a great week.

Seapoint Ward

Dear Family and Friends,
Well this week was a little slow. Mostly everyone was out of town for the Holidays. We saw a lot of Less active this week. We were truly able to see the Lord's hand in the work this week. We were guide to those that we needed to see at the right time. I have also been able to see that that Lord is mindful f us all. It has been a little difficult to find in our area. We have a lot of gated communities and we are still very new to the area which makes it difficult. But we know that as we work with the members and rely on the Lord we will accomplish His will in the Seapoint Ward.
The Lord has a plan for us and he will guide us to where we need to be at the the right time that we need to be there. We also had  a recent convert named Ken come out to lesson with us this week. It is so cool to see the Testimony of a new convert grow more every day. It is very interesting to see. He asks questions and shares his the Gospel its amazing. I am so grateful for this time that I have to serve the Lord.
I hope that you  all had a happy Thanksgiving. I love you all and hope that you have a Great week.
I know that the Lord is preparing his children to receive his gospel. We all must do our part in His work. We can do all things in the Strength on the Lord. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that God is mindful of us all. I know that he will be able to reach us all no matter how far we feel we have gone. He knows us and He loves us. Remember that he is there for you. He is reaching His hand out waiting for us to take it so that he can pull us up and bring us safely back to the path.

Love,
Sister McGarry III
