Time is Flying

Dear Family and Friends,

These past nine months of my mission have been so good. I have learned a lot from President and Sister Tew. We will be getting a new  mission president this week. I am so grateful  for this time I have to serve the Lord.  I have learned do much from President and Sister Tew and I am excited to learn from the new mission president.  I am looking forward these next few months where I can learn and grow more in the Gospel. I am looking forward to the things that I will learn.

This week has been so full of miracles. I know that the Lord is mindful of us and that loves us. I love you all and hope that you all have a great week.

Love,
Sister McGarry III

Miracles in talking to Everyone

Dear Family and Friends,

On the first Thursday of the transfer (a transfer is a six week period). Sister Tew came out with us to work and we were able to contact a part member family and set a time that we could come back and teach them. We taught them on Monday night last week, but they are going out of town for three weeks and don't know when the will be back so we couldn't pick up the wife as a new investigator.
I saw a miracle this week. I have gained a testimony of talking to every one. Sister Cotrim and I were walking out of a dinner appointment on the way to our car when we saw a group of people a short distance away from us. We walked towards them and started talking to one of them about God. He told us that was raised Catholic but now he is Jewish and that he doesn't want to change. Siser Cotrim then proceeded to invite him to come to church with us on Sunday. He asked us about church and when we told him that people have topics of the gospel that the talk about mixed with their personal experiences he got excited and told us that he would come to church. He said that he would come to church this upcoming Sunday. I love you all and hope that you have a great week.

Love,

Cordata Park

Dear Family and Friends,

So last week in my email I mentioned that I would be training a new missionary. So my new companion is Sister Cotrim. She is from Brazil. She served for two months in Brazil while waiting for her visa to come to America. She is still learning English. I am so happy to be her trainer. She is amazing. Her testimony of the Gospel is so strong. I can feel the spirit everytime that she talks. We have had a great week together. She loves the people. We were able to see miracles. One of the was that we found a new investigator. We are now teaching four people.

We also had Sister Tew come out with us on Thursday and we went by some Part-member families and were able to set return appointments with them. I know that as we do all that we can that the Lord will bless us and that he will help us find those that are prepare to recieve His Gospel. I finished reading the Ricarddi Letter this week and in there I learned just how much the Lord loves us. He knows where His children and He knows when they will be ready to hear His Gospel. I love serving the Lord. I know that he is mindful of us all. He will be a guide to us in our lives. I am so  happy to be in the field serving the Lord with all my Heart, Might, Mind and Strength. Love you all  and Hope that you have a great week.

Love,

Transfer News and trusting in the Lord

Dear Family and Friends,

Another transfer has come to an end and a new chapter of my mission is about to begin. I have had a wonderful transfer with Sister Po'uliva'ati. I have learned so much from her and I am sad to see her leave, but there is work for her to do back home.

This week the Stake had a Jubilee for their 50th Anniversary. We had a mission Conference on saturday where we heard from Elder Gay and Elder Gant. I learned for each of them. I learned at this conference the important of not only teaching by the spirit but also listening by the spirit. There is no way that we can know the hearts or thought of every one we meet, but God knows their thoughts and their hearts. As we listen by the spirit we will know how to help those that we come in contact with.
I will be staying in Cordata Park. I don't know who my companion is yet. I will find out who she is tomorrow when I go to the mission office to pick her up. This means that I will be training a new missionary next transfer. I am excited to train, but I am also worried about it too. But I know that as I rely on the Lord to help me that I have no need to worry. He knows what I can handle and I will be able to accomplish anything with His help.

I love you all and hope that you have a great week.
