Farewells and Learning

Dear Family and Friends,

This week I has been a great one.  We have had members Sister P's other areas come to our Zone so she could say bye to them. It will continue to happen this week too. I has been fun to see the people that she served around and to how she touched the life of those she served. I have learned so much from Sister P these last few weeks. I have been abe to learn about myself a little more with Sister P. She has taught me that I can be myself. I know that the Lord is preparing his children and that he loves us. I am so grateful for the time I have to learn and to grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our investigator are doing well. We had two of them at church on Sunday. One has a baptismal date and is excited for his baptism. One of them we have not taught this week, but we set up a time to see him this upcoming week. Our last investigator is doing well, she has a strong desire to learn and to be baptized however there are sometimes that we are helping her with before that can happen.

Transfers are next week so I will be sending Tranfser info next Monday. Also there is a Jubilee going on this week for the Huntington Beach Stake 50th Anniversary.
I love you all and hope that you all have a great week.

Love,
Sister McGarry III
P.S. Happy Memorial Day!!

Pressing Forward in Cordata Park

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you all for the wonderful emails and pictures. This week has been one of miracles. We picked up a new investigator this week. She has been taught by missionaries for a while. By is not quite ready to make the commitment to be baptized. We were still meeting with her regularly and decided that we would pick up her up as an investigator. We were also able to set a baptismal date with on of our investigators. He is very excited about his baptism. He came to church with  us again this week. We invited him to read the introduction to the Book of Mormon, he read that and also went on to the following pages (the testimony of the Three and eight witnesses and the Testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith). The Lord  amazing. I am so happy to be able to see His work move forward.  We have some amazing potential in our area. It is only a matter of finding those who are seeking. I know that God loves each and every one of His children and that He will guide them His gospel when the time is right. I know that as we press forward in the hard times, continually placing our trust in Him will guide us though. I love you all and hope that you all have a great week!

Love,

Joy

Dear Family and Friends,
I have been thinking a lot about something that Bethany said while I was skyping this past Sunday. She had noticed that she had not seen tears in my eyes while we were talking to each other or the rest of the family. She said "Do you ever cry?" Of course we all have moments in our life where we cry for joy or where we cry because we feel sorrowful. I feel so blessed to have the gospel  in my life and to be able to cry for joy knowing that I will be able to see my loved ones again. I cry for joy knowing that I and each one of you are in the Lord's hands and under His watchful care. He knows us. He loves us and knows what we need. I am so glad that I was able to talk to you all.
Sister P and I just dropped all of our investigators and will be working on finding this week. I know that as we put our faith and trust in God that He will bless us. We will go out and do all we can to find God's prepared and as we do He will bless us and help us to build up the area. I know that God loves us and we can find those who are prepared to receive His gospel and we put our faith and trust in Him.
I love you and Hope that you have a great week.

Hardships and Miracles

Dear Family and Friends,

This week was a little difficult. There are many people to talk to but not many people open to listening to the Gospel. Sister P (Po'uliva'ati) and I have been working hard to organize our areabook and to find those who are prepared to learn to Gospel.  We talked to many people  this week but we were not able to see much happen. I have yet to meet our investigators.

We have seen miracles too. Yesterday at ward council the bishop mentioned a part member family that just moved into the ward. Sister P and I had gone through all of our plans and decided to go by the family. We went by and knock a few times and were about to walk away when we hear Hi Sisters, we turn around and see Brother Walton. He goes and opens the front door. His wife was not home so we were unable to go in  but he told us about her. Sister P and I walked away from the Walton home with smiles on our faces. Brother Walton was telling us that his wife is ready to hear to Gospel and that see would be back next week.

I know that God is mindful of us. I know that God loves us. I know that he is preparing his children to hear his Gospel. I love you all and hope that you have a great week.
I  will be calling around 6pm on Sunday

Love,
Sister McGarry III
